Portamento Records, established in 2006 by Dj’s/Producers Nino Anthony & David Farlow has burst into the underground house scene with a vengeance. With two decades combined dj experience under their belts, they felt the time was right to put their twist on what they think quality house music should sound like…raw, dirrrty, in your face music to get your ass movin’ on the dancefloor.

Now with 20 + quality releases out on the label to date (most of which have charted in the Beatport Top 100), they are consistently looking for and seeking out the freshest and hottest talent in the scene. With tracks and remixes released by established artists such as Granite & Phunk, Boy 8 Bit, Angel Anx & Aleksij, Alex Kenji, Christian Hoff and Sara Galli, and future tracks by Emjae and Junior Frank vs. The Group Dynamic, Portamento is well under way to becoming a dominant, well-respected label in the scene. Not to mention the array of fresh young talent from the likes of Manuel de la Mare, Yoshie Chandler, Vale & Timo, Redux, Skinny Kidz, Lele Cecchini and the founders themselves, Nino Anthony & David Farlow.

2007 will prove to be a HUGE year for Portamento with tracks already signed for 2 major compilations; “Ghetto Girl” by Emjae will be featured on the upcoming Steve Porter compilation and Sara Galli’s massive remix of Ian Round’s “Eivissa” is going to be featured on the upcoming Ministry of Sound “Big Tunes of 2007” compilation, Portamento plans on going from an up and coming label, to a well-known and respected sound source for the masses.
