Audio Vegas

September 12th, 2007 by thebeeb

I’ve been checking out some Audio Vegas on the site, mainly their “Drama EP” which is a good mix of some pretty high energy techy/electro. Some really nice stuff.

Audio Vegas are signed to Benny Benassi’s label Pump-kin, which seems to be doing quite well for itself since starting last year.

Check it Out!

Ableton & Screaming

August 9th, 2007 by thebeeb

Hip hop stars drop liquor & sneaker brandnames, so why shouldn’t it be okay if Danton Eeprom decides to score some free software swag for himself?!

– Well, I’m pretty sure thats what Nelly was doing when he wrote “Air Force Ones”, but its probably isn’t really the reason why the new release from Eeprom is called “Ableton & Screaming”.

Make sure to check this one out! The single includes two techy tracks, and a nice minimal/tech track aswell.

The Williams remix really shines on this:

Walk It Out, Nasty

August 1st, 2007 by thebeeb

Do you love Gwen Verdon and her ’60s Bob Fosse moves to the hiphop hit, “Walk it Out”? (See Above)

Well, then you came to the right place.

DJ Nasty has released a breaks version of the tune on one of his many accompilations that feature some of hiphop’s latest, greatest hits, but with a twist.

Maybe a you’re looking for Timbaland’s “Give It To Me”, but want an electro/break version of the song, or you’re getting requests for Rihanna’s “Umbrella”, yet you’re playing a drum & bass party tonight.

DJ Nasty may just have you covered:

Whats Old Is New Again: “Make It YOUR Work, & Make It YOUR Idea…”

July 25th, 2007 by thebeeb

This new release by Discokris encourages you to “take your own future into your hands, with your own imagination, with your own creativity, and make it your work, and make it your idea.

–Well, I’m not sure they really achieved the first half in taking their own advice, but they definetly nailed the latter part!

You can’t really go wrong with a classic, as the main melody of “Star Future” was taken from Air’s 1998 release “Kelly Watch The Stars” (as shown above).

Discokris however, managed to put a nice spin on things with a electro house mix of the track, aswell as some added vocals. Be sure to check it out:

CHIMPS!!!

July 11th, 2007 by thebeeb

Claude Von Stroke has been on an animal kick.

First with his hit “The Whistler”, which brought back some old rave sounds, in the form of what sounds like a horde of mechanical birds.

Now, his 2007 release “Chimps” incorporates irate chimpanzee screams on top of some sick Tech/Electro, and a warm, heavy bassline.

ITS BANANAS!!!

Mangled Minimal

Two beautiful minimal techno tracks.

I’m not big on Patchouli or anything, but I recommend enjoying these under an equally beautiful twilight, and preferably in nature — or maybe that’s just me?

Whats old is new again

July 6th, 2007 by thebeeb

Okay, so I’m aware that this track was released sometime last year, but it was so nicely done I just had to share.

Actually, to be honest, the original song was done back in 1984 by Bronski Beat, and then re-hashed and altered in the best way possible to create this track.

Have a listen and see if you can see how the Presets were “influenced” while remixing Cagedbaby.
