Astrix

Astrix is without a doubt one of the fastest rising stars on the psy trance scene,
with UK and world wide DJs, producers and media singing his praises not only on the underground trance scene, but also with the more adventurous hard dance and transcends alike due to his highly infectious sound. Alongside his mates Infected Mushroom, he has conquered the globe with his dynamic Live acts and sets of full on Psy Trance.
Astrix played with some of the biggest international DJ's like Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Hernan Cattaneo, Chris Liebing, Mauro Picotto, Yoji Biomehanika, Nick Warren, John 'oo' Fleming, The Tidy Boys, Simon Posford, Raja Ram and many more around
the globe. His tracks have been licensed by some of the biggest record companies
such as Universal, Telstar, Ministry Of Sound and others.

Astrix is also a founding member of the club act - Private Taste,
whose track 'First' (Automatic Rec.) was supported by leading DJs such as
Paul van Dyk, Danny Howells, Max Graham and appeared on
high profile compilations by Gatecrasher, MOS, Perfecto, Telstar and more

Astrix's 2002 debut Eye To Eye (HOMmega) marked his arrival on the trance scene and saw Astrix embark on what has since been a non-stop global tour performing at massive parties and international festivals alike, always raising the roof with his unique sound
and style (He was the only trance DJ who got to play on the main stage of the
Israeli Love Parade 2004 in front of 200,000 ravers).
'Eye to Eye' was just the beginning of a distinctive stream of psy trance anthems and remixes. Astrix has made remixes for (and has been remixed by) the likes of Infected Mushroom and GMS, always keeping that unique cross over style that was so popular on both the psychedelic and the club scenes. It was only a matter of time before Astrix started his UK live performances at London underground venues such as the Tyssen St and Stratford Rex. From there, with his reputation gathering pace, he was asked to compile his first UK compilation Nu Clear Visions of Israel (2003) through legendary UK label - TIP World. Following this he went on to sell out massive UK events shows at SEone, Brixton Academy and Alexandra Palace, at the end of last year which marked the launch of his second artist album Artcore (2004) which sold nearly 20,000 copies up to date.
In 2005, Astrix continues his agenda to bring his unique style to as many listeners as possible. After recently playing in major clubs like Avalon (New York and LA / USA) and Guverment (Toronto / Canada), he has just compiled a new mix CD - 'Psychedelic Academy' for a leading UK label - Hit Mania in collaboration with his home label HOMmega, Where, like in his own music, he manages to combine the psy trance elements with clubbier trance giving him a credible crossover appeal by mixing both futuristic and forward thinking music with a lot of uplifting moments that grab the attention of many music lovers from all sides of trance (5,000 people attended The launch party of this compilation
at Brixton Academy / UK on May-Day holiday).
Astrix also finished a new collaboration track with DJ John "00" Fleming called
"3rd time lucky" (the track will appear on John's new compilation: White Label - Level 3
out on Club Republic / UK) and now he is set to go off on his 2005 tour which will include a
6 gigs journey to Brazil (supported by DJ John "00" Fleming), a very prestigious festival
in Germany, Switzerland's 'Atmosphere 3', Portugal's 'Freedom Fighters' Festival
and Japan's biggest annual trance festival 'The Gathering'.

Upon returning from his tour, Astrix will start working on his 3rd artist album
which is going to be a double CD and is scheduled for release in 2006.
