Kubiks is the most often used pseudonym for UK producer, Doug Ross. Influenced by 70s soul jazz/funk his tracks blend lush pads and jazzy overtones with heavy beats and Raw production!

Inspired by early Good Looking material and being part of the Club scene for as long as he can remember, Kubiks was born as a name for his DJing in 1997 . With present residences at Rubiks Cube (Bristol/Swansea) and The Upper Room (Cheltenham) his explosive style makes DJ Kubiks stand out from the crowd.

During the past few years Kubiks has had numerous tracks signed and released with the most current being signed to Tangent (Sister Label to Beta Recordings) and Rubik Records.

Doug not only writes and DJs but promotes one of the more established weekly Drum and Bass nights in Bristol called the Rubiks Cube! Looking to push the Liquid Funk side of the Drum and Bass market the Rubiks Cube has had regular guest appearances from the likes of Patife/Fabio/John B/London Elektricity.

The future holds yet more musical experiments for Kubiks, with an album project about to get underway which will combine many different styles, from House/Breaks and Drum & Bass.
